- Weber Speakers: Amp kits, parts, speakers, and other things.
- Mojotone: Anything you need for amp building, guitar parts, shop supplies.
- Mouser: One stop shop for electronics. Good for chassis and finding those other specialty parts.
- Digikey: More of everything electronic compared to Mouser. Cheaper shipping and prices on some things.
Information:
- RCA Radio Designer's Handbook: Some light reading.
- Building Your Own Tube Amp: Good general information on everything in a tube amp.
- Faceplate Design: Good tutorial and resources in here.
- Weber Bias Calculator: Good tables, calculators for bias and total plate dissipation.
- Aiken Amps on Biasing: Explanation of what is biasing, why you need it and how to do it for different amp classes and power levels.
Software:
- PSU Designer II: Simple power supply simulation.
- Inkscape: Vector image editor (Open-Source!). Awesome for faceplates and easy to use.
- PSIM: Easy to use, similar feel to other SPICE software. Simulates anything electronic you'd put in an amp.
